Event Details

Our First Connection Program provides patients and their families the opportunity to share experiences with someone who has een successfully treated for the same diagnosis. Patients and caregivers learn coping skills an gain hope from trained peer volunteers who share their perspectives.

The training sessions are geared to survivors and their caregivers and are requireed for anyone participating in the program this coming year. We will be discussing new therapies for all blood cancers, current statistics you may not be familiar with and teaching skills and refreshers on being an active First Connection volunteer. Once I receive your confirmation, I will mail you a packet with the conference phone number, the First Connection Manual and documents to sign and return to our office once training is complete.
